YLDP 2015…
From the 9th till the 13th of Dec, 6 members from Joshua House (Silas, Joanna, Yi Lin, Jocelyn, Esther and Audris) went for YLDP 2015 at Chefoo, Cameron Highlands. The theme this year was “LEADING IN CRISIS”; based on Judges 2:18.
In the plenary session, we learnt that as Israel journeyed with God, there were contrasting experiences in each of their generation. For example, their 1st generation knew God, their 2nd generation knew about God and by the 3rd generation, they knew not God. There were also various occasions whereby Israel found themselves in a life cycle of being at peace with God, then being disobedient to God which led to their punishment, then as they made their restitution, God sent someone to deliver them from their enemies.
Through the team building games, we learnt that we need to persevere in sharing the gospel; even when faced with many distractions. Also, as church is made up of different people – we all make up ONE body. And each of us has a different role to play as we build up the church.
