Throwback – YLDP 2016

We (Jocelyn, Joanna, Eu Jin, Eu Zhean and Silas) had a great time at YLDP 2016, from the 7th till 11th of December at Wesley Methodist KL International School. The theme of the camp was –Leading For Change, based on Joshua 1:6-9.
We got to know God and His Word better through the plenary and devotion sessions. We learnt that God’s calling for each one of us are different and the call of God is to God Himself. He is also the same God wherever we are but God reveals Himself differently. The workshops were beneficial too as speakers of each level’s workshops shared about many different topics. For example, worship, media, maximizing your life, etc.
Besides that, we had a fun time during the teambuilding games. The games that we played helped us to know that nothing comes easy in life, but our lives are in God’s hands and we have to trust Him and His plan for us. We also learnt that we have to be united as a church, as brothers and sisters in Christ, and encourage one another whenever we face challenges.
All in all, it was a memorable camp as we got to know new friends, catch up with old friends and a good time of fellowship.
